word art from Weeds and Wildflowers That Summer Feeling
I really do love that Summer feeling! I (Katie) love digi scrapping about summer because there are so many great subjects and photo opportunities that come with warm and sunny weather. As a homeschooling Mom, I also have more free time in the summer which means more time for making memories and scrapping them! To kick off my own summer, I went searching through our Flickr group gallery
and found some great inspiration to share. (All images are linked)
Summer makes me think of bright and cheery color schemes. Nature shows here vibrant shades in the blue sky, green grass, and golden sun. We tend to wear more colorful clothing in the summer months as well. All of this color gets me inspired! I love these happy dots and summer embellishments.
Summer is a time to be outside. There are gardens to grow, flowers to plant, lawns to care for, and outdoor adventures to be enjoyed. Longer days mean more natural light for great photography as well. Take your camera outside and capture the season!
School vacations mean family get-togethers and trips to new locations. Group photos with scenic backgrounds are a perfect way to capture these vacation memories!
Summer is a time for family reunions, picnics, and barbeques. These events are the perfect excuse to get group photos that would be hard to pull off indoors. Fun seasonal props and lush green backgrounds really make the subjects shine !
Ah… the beach! The ultimate summer destination! If I didn’t live in Utah, I’d be there every day. If you visit a beach, you are in photographer’s heaven!
Beach pictures are some of my very favorites for scrapping. There are so many great beach kits
Remember the first writing assignment of the school year? The topic was always “What I did this Summer” and it makes for the perfect subject for a scrapbook page.
It’s also fun to record what you DIDN’T DO this summer and why. Great idea!
Fresh foods are another favorite summer bonus and food is a fun subject to photograph and scrap about!
Summer months are full of games and sports. Take your camera along and document the memories.
Not everything about Summer is great, I’ll admit that I miss new episodes of Survivor and Mythbusters during the Summer months!
Popsicles, slushies, ice cream, and cold treats are a big part of Summer fun!
This inspires me to write down all the things I love about Summer!
