Stay Home & Color

I loved the aqua background paper but I wanted it to look like it was painted on top of the pink patterned paper. I used my magic wand tool to select the aqua and clicked Select/Similar and then Layer/New Layer via Cut. I deleted the white portion and placed the aqua on my layout and reduced the opacity slightly. Finally, I added a style by Mommyish that looks like paint.

I love pocket pages as way to gather a collection of different photos. - the pockets allow for consistency without needing all the same colors. I love being able to gather these to document my oldest great niece (soon to be joined by 2 more soon!)

I knew these bright colors would pop on black, so enlarged the paper to crop off the white and placed my title at the top. Then I added the white doodle paper for contrast to serve as the base for the layout. The rest came together in a few minutes once I laid the foundation.

Monochromatic layouts are a great way to make your photos be the star of the page. I didn't have any pictures to go with the theme of this kit so I decided to do an off-theme page pulling the awesome doodled papers and sticking to black and white for the rest of the page.
