My name is Andrea Newby, 35, and I'm addicted to digi-scrapping. I've been married to my childhood sweetheart for 13 years and we have two children, Jayden 11 and Ellie, 7 (going on 27 !!). We live in a small town called Morecambe on the North-west coast of England. We're lucky enough that our house is literally across the road from the beach - although we're not always lucky enough to get beach-going weather!! We also share our home with one grumpy old girl, our 18-yr-old cat Smudge.

It's About Us, My Happy Place alpha and Field of Dreams by Captivated Visions.Originally I paper scrapped - I started making albums and cards for relatives as gifts. After a Disney trip a few years ago, I somehow managed to click my way through to a Disney scrapbooking site that was mainly digital and from there followed some designers to a store. I just loved that I could work with my photos without having to cut them up, use the same elements over and over again and not having to drag a mass of supplies out each time I wanted to scrap. I never did go back to paper scrapping. My templates originally came about as a way of getting some extra traffic to my personal blog, where I was posting my CT pages. A couple of my digi friends suggested I should look into selling them, and I was lucky enough to get accepted to a store. I have been blessed with some amazing CT girls and I love seeing what they, and my customers, create using my templates. If you look through my store, you might notice I don't stick to any one palette. I just love colour and can get lost for hours looking for colour inspiration. Oh, and quiet! Trying to do anything with two children looking over your shoulder is just impossible !! I work on a desktop PC that my hubby built for me with 4 GB RAM. I use PSE 8 currently though still debating whether to switch to PS. I had a quick peek at PS and know that it will take some time to get used to so sticking with what I know for now :). My camera is a Canon Ixus, a little point and shoot. I would love in the future to get a decent camera and learn how to take photos "properly". When a page I am scrapping isn't going the way I want it to, sometimes a slight tweak to the sizing can make all the difference. I select all my layers (excluding any background papers) and either shrink everything down or enlarge it all. By changing the proportionate size of your elements and other layers above your background papers, you can regain balance, focus and great flow through your page.
