IN THE DESIGNER'S STUDIO WITH KRISTIN CB

DesignersStudioKristinCroninBarrow I am so happy to have Kristin joining us again in THE DIGI FILES!!  Kristin was a contributor in one of the very first issues of the files and it’s super fun to have some of these fabulous designers back!  I love Kristin’s designs, especially her colors but also her fun elements and gorgeous papers (I am dying over the red patterned papers in this kit). Let’s take a closer look at “I Love Cocoa”: kcroninbarrow-ilovecocoa-preview Here are some inspirational layouts created by our team using “I Love Cocoa”: image

I live in a really small mountain town and just love it here. We have been here about 5 years and plan to stay here for as long as we can! I have two kids. A daughter who is seven and a son who is 2. When I am not designing or attempting to scrapbook I enjoy going for day trips with my family.

designerscanvas3 I almost ALWAYS scrap with templates - I am not ashamed! thesemoments_web tips7tricks3 Here is a great tip - great for designing or scrapping if you use photoshop you can select layers easily if you have your tool on the move tool and then right click on a layer element. You will see a list brought up that displays the top layer and all the layers underneath. This is a very quick way to go through your layers instead of relying on the layer palette or using auto select which sometimes will select a layer that you don't want. howitallstarted3 I started scrapbooking in may of 2003. Scrapbook-Bytes had opened a few months prior and I found it through a mommy board. I was wanting to start scrapbooking as my daughter was 3 months old but wasn't sure I wanted to spend the money on paper supplies. Once I found out about digital scrapbooking I was hooked! Of course I did have to purchase a new computer fairly quickly as the one I had at the time only had 42mb of ram! inspirestocreate3 Colors and themes mostly. I love to create theme kits as I find my ideas come out more, I have more fun with the elements and don't get stuck in a rut as much. toolbox3 I use an imac. I have had it 3.5 years now and couldn't be happier. I have 4gb of ram. I am still running OS tiger - haven't upgraded to leopard yet! I mainly use adobe photoshop but I do use illustrator from time to time. I really want to get better at drawing this next year! I went to college and I do have a certificate in visual art but drawing has never been my forte. I use a Nikon D80. I have a Wacom Bamboo Fun. favoriteproduct3 7dfe897e-6344-41f4-9ceb-0bfa60693471 popularproduct3 f8ed5c7a589f0a156be1c40aa9d87f72 clip_image001_thumb1512 Here are some of my favorite products by Kristin 96d25722-3e55-42aa-a40f-0de483ce874d 7583b662-08a7-442a-a08d-5a754688d125 abf10f66-6d7f-4da9-bce9-88da30224feb 5fd93013-b9f1-4dfa-8678-604acce26607 f6bc66fa-7c07-43aa-852b-55f004c05b87 clip_image001_thumb1112 Here’s some inspirational layouts using Kristin’s products.
