Journaling is my favorite part of scrapbooking. As much as I adore the gorgeous papers and fun elements, in the end, the photos and journaling are what really matter to me. After eleven years of scrapbooking and watching my children read through our albums, I am convinced even more of the power of journaling. It’s the story behind the photos I want to know.

Over the years I have heard from many of you that you find journaling difficult. You don’t know what to say, how to get started, or how much to share. Here at The Daily Digi we have shared about journaling many times. It is my goal to help you tell your stories.

If you are ever stuck on what to say, one of the easiest things you can do is go back to elementary narrating:

Ask yourself the who , what, when, where, why.

The answers to these questions could be about the photos themselves, why you love the photos, or what you want more of in your life. The possibilities are endless, but as simple as it is, the 5W’s are a great prompt to get your journaling muscles warmed up and ready to go!

And…just to encourage you to get started, you can download this FREE layered quick page. It’s a great combination of a template and a quick page, giving you maximum flexibility. Enjoy!
