Where I live, September is back-to-school time and it is busy, busy, busy. With little downtime, I haven’t scrapped very much this past month. In order to ease back into it, I made a simple page, focused around a giant title. Giant titles are very easy to work with when designing a page because they give it an instant focal point. The rest of the page design is just tucked in and around the giant title.
Giant title, by the way, is a highly technical scrapbooking term. Just kidding! But it fits, so I’m going with it!
First, type out the title in a gigantic font. I clipped some paper to it and then beveled the edges. (Beveling can be found in the Photoshop Layer Styles menu or a purchased Photoshop style can be used.)
Then I added a few elements (sword and crown at my son’s request) to accent the title and edges of the page. I used a layer mask to erase part of the photo and blend it gently into the background.
Done in 15 minutes!
If you need to ease back into scrapbooking too, give the giant title a try.
