Many years back, I wrote a post about the remote timer I have for my camera. To this day, it is still one of my favorite toys. I love being able to have pictures taken without me having to be behind the lens. We’ve gotten a lot of great family photos this way.
But when I see things like JIBO, my little camera remote seems archaic. Touted as “The World’s First Family Robot,” it is full of some impressive capabilities. Some of these features I already have on my phone and there are some features I can’t see myself using, but the smart, intuitive camera that can track movement gets me more excited than I care to admit. A million ideas run through my head for how I would use it.
JIBO isn’t available for pre-order anymore, but I look forward to their release and hearing what people think. It could change the way we do a lot of things, including memory keeping.
