Meet SharonS

BIO: I’m SharonS and I live in a tiny town in Southeast Kansas with my three tortie kitties. My better half, Bob, lives two blocks away, which incidentally, is the perfect location for a man. I have two grown kids: Joe, who is a vision manager at Walmart, and Amy, who is a dentist. Joe has my three grandsons: Jayden, 11, Bryson 8, and Lukas, 1.

My first introduction to scrapbooking came in about 1998 when I went to a Creative Memories presentation. My first thought was “There’s no way on God’s green earth that I can go back and scrapbook 16 years worth of pictures.” But about a year later, I decided to make Joe a scrapbook for his graduation in 2000. Needless to say, I was hooked! I was pretty resistant to digital scrapbooking when I first started learning about it. I teach kids with disabilities and I spend a lot of time in front of the computer working on paperwork. But the techie side of me got curious and I kept giving it a try. I still mainly paper scrapped until about 2009, when I made the switch to digi, with the exception of mini albums.

5 PRODUCTS I CAN’T LIVE WITHOUT: I’m pretty much a kit scrapper but I really like templates, black and white papers, flowers, and ribbon

MY STYLE: lol! I don’t know! My scrapping agenda is to look over the kit, especially the word art, to see what speaks to me. Then I head over to iPhoto to find pictures that go along with the idea. Usually they’re pretty current because I still scrap chronologically. After I’ve picked pictures, I open my templates folder and open the folder with the corresponding number of pictures. I look for a template that showcases the pictures and elements from the kit that I’ve already chosen. So, long story short, I guess my style is whatever template strikes me that goes with the kit and pictures I’m using.

MY SCRAPPING IDOL(S): Scrapping with Liz • Brandy Murray • Jenn Lindsey

I’ve been hanging around The Daily Digi since the first week. In the
spring of 2010, I challenged myself to start using all of the kits I was
amassing and have made a layout with every kit since then. I get really
excited on Daily Digi Day and either stay up late or get up early and
download everything. Then I get to work! :) I check in every day and am super proud to be part of the team!
