Scrapping With Liz Big Block Photo Templates

Liz is such an amazing template designer and am thrilled to have her back in The Digi Files! Liz has templates that are perfect for every style of scrapper and every project on our lists! ABC’s, calendars, state maps, big photos, small photos, clusters, and MORE! I love, love, love Liz’s ability to layer papers and cluster a few elements, especially when they are combined with big photos, like this month’s collection. I always have fun visiting with Liz and DDD recording was no exception! It was great to hear some details about her life that I didn’t know. We had a great time walking down memory lane and talking about her designs and sources of inspiration. Liz is such an inspiring person, you will for sure enjoy listening in!

I’m Liz. I live in the beautiful mountains of Western North Carolina.

I love this page because it’s the first page I scrapped of our trip to China to get our son. I think it shows our

I started back with paper way back before I was even married….over 15 years ago! I went digital when we moved to NC, and I met a new friend that introduced me to digi. I was immediately hooked. I started digi-scrapping right away. A few months in I decided to try my hand at making my own templates since designing the page is one of my favorite things to do. My business took off from there.

Everyday stuff. My kids, photos, magazines, commercials, etc…

Computer: Gateway Laptop. Windows 7. 17 inch screen. I’m looking into getting something new….but I’m nervous about Windows 8. Any advice is appreciated!

Program: I use Adobe CC. I use Photoshop and Illustrator to create my templates. I also have a goal of learning Lightroom.

Camera: This year I purchased a used Nikon D7000. I’m loving it.

Anything Else: I also use a Wacom Intuos tablet when I want to draw or doodle.

Hmmmm….My most recent favorite thing to do is to use layer styles for creating my own titles. Sometimes I like to make a quick title out of a font I already have. I’ll type it out and then add a layer style to make it look like epoxy, metal, acrylic, etc… After applying the style you can then tweak the style to fit your desired look. You kind find styles in many stores and they are easy to install. It’s just a super simple way to make your own title.

I love this set because it can very quickly help me scrap my photos with just the right amount of journaling and a few pretty things. I love focusing on the photos and having some room for journaling.

My Daily Life Templates are my most popular line. I started making these templates at the beginning of 2014 to go along with my personal scrapping challenge. So far they are a hit. I think maybe because they scrap a lot of photos, and since it’s a series there’s something to keep you going.
