Pocket Scrapbooking 2014

Supplies: My Life of Happiness, a TDD member exclusive kit

I’m sitting here in Canada, with a seven foot high snow bank in my front yard and listening to a bitterly cold wind blowing outside. I don’t need any more reason than that to stay inside and scrapbook! Winter has been quite helpful to stay on top of my 2014 pocket album.

This year, I find myself reaching for bright colours more often, balanced with plenty of white. Lately, I’ve also been using a lot more text too. You can see my January and February pages here:

I joined the pocket scrapbooking team at Sweet Shoppe Designs, and it has been a great experience to be able to share with a group of other pocket scrappers. The responsibility of producing a specific number of pages each month has definitely helped to keep me on track, too.

My goals for the next few months are to:

  • Incorporate more Digi File products into my pages, which I will share here.
  • Focus on taking more “big camera” photos. My iPhone shots are good, but I have a great dSLR that I love using so I’m going to keep it out where it will get used more often.
  • Develop a better system for tagging my pocket cards so that I can get more use out them.

This is truly my favourite form of memory keeping. I just love scrolling through these pages on my screen and I can hardly wait to send in my next print order and start my album!

Are you pocket scrapbooking in 2014? How is your project going?
