Early Morning Inspiration

It’s no secret that I am an early riser. I usually wake up — without an alarm clock — between 4:00 and 5:00 am. I love the early morning hours when everyone else is still asleep, the world is dark, and I am left alone with my coffee and my thoughts. Of course this means that I need to go to bed early, but, it’s a fair trade-off. However, some days things don’t go as planned. Some days the hubby and I are up late talking. Some days I just need a little alone time at night while the hubby snores next to me. And some days, I go to bed a little too early and I wake up and can’t go back to sleep. Last night I went to be at 8:00 and woke up at 1:00 am…completely unable to go back to sleep. Now that’s a little early, even for me.

I know today is going to be a VERY long day, but at least I got a few extra hours of the quiet I love so much. And it gave me time I don’t usually have to snoop around the galleries and see what inspires me. I wasn’t disappointed! There are so many amazing artists, so many wonderful creations. I LOVE being part of this scrapping community! I love that we are sharing our stories and sharing our hearts. Here are a few of the layouts that caught my eye: (all images are linked to original gallery posting)

This is such a FABULOUS layout. I love the color, love the amazing use of elements, and the way the black and white photos play off the “color my world” theme.

I love layouts that capture a little bit of life right where we are, and this great layout about favorite shoes does the trick!

Such a simple and yet striking page! A moment is captured, a story is told…perfect.

Great design, pops of color…LOVE it.

This layout is great! I love the unique crop and framing of the photo and I the green over the brown background paper just makes the whole page pop.

Totally perfect. I just love the asymmetrical (yet totally balanced) designs, I love the element use, and I love the subdued colors.

This layout is such a great example of creative journaling. So much information about her son was included, but it is spread out over the page, just inviting you to come and take a look!

Love, love, LOVE the huge title! It’s bold but not overwhelming.

Another fantastic moment in time layouts. Believe it or not, our grand kids will probably have no idea what “tweeting” is so this is such a fun way to capture what life looks like…today.

And last, but certainly not least, is the SUPER FANTASTIC layout (which was inspired by THIS layout). When I saw it in the gallery, I clicked on the thumbnail to see what it was all about. And then my jaw dropped as I saw the incredible use of elements and then I read the quote…and I was in love. It SO sums up where I am in my life right now. I am living in a season of showing rainbows to little people and knowing that someday, they will be able to find their own rainbows.

I hope you were as inspired as I was…now for another cup of coffee 😉
