We already are giving away gifts all month long here on The Daily Digi, but I (Katie) have another fun little present for you today!
I plan to make an entire mini album using the 2 templates from this gift and I already have a good start on it. I’m excited to share this fun project and I know you will be inspired to digi scrap some birthday celebrations of your own with these versatile templates!
I decided to use this cheerful birthday kit by Gina Cabrera at Digital Design Essentials. I picked this kit because I thought it worked equally well for boys and girls of all ages. (Gina is one of this month’s amazing contributors to The Digi Files 11)
I used the templates in their original formats to create these 2 pages about my daughter’s first birthday.
I journaled all of the details on the first page so I just used the space on the other layout for photos. I used the CK footnote font for the journaling and the title font is Fontologie Chubby Times. (The”Happy Birthday” title is part of the template)
Using the exact same kit and templates, here are 2 layouts from my daughter’s 12th birthday.
I simply moved around the journaling and used only 1 photo to change up the template a bit.
Using some of the photo spaces as journaling blocks is another great way to extend the use of a template.
Birthdays are a fun topic to scrap, and don’t worry if you are lacking the traditional cake and party photos, focus on capturing the memories of the day. A well journaled page will always be a treasure!
P.S. Congratulations to Sarah C. who is our GIFTaway winner today! She was randomly chosen from those that have purchased TDF11 so far this month! She won a $10 GC to Sweet Shoppe Designs!! Check your inbox!
