I rarely delete photos. There are a couple of reasons I have made this choice:
1) I would rather spend that time scrapping
2) I feel like digital photo technology is in its infancy and you never know what the next development will be.
A week or so ago, I was smacked in the face with the reality of the amazing new developments yet to come when I saw a video of sneak peeks from Adobe at Adobe Max. The sneak peeks are developments they are working on for future releases of Photoshop. The video below shows the Unblurring Tool they are working on in action. That’s right a tool in Photoshop that will unblur photos! The video is a little hard to see, but watch and listen to the audience gasp in amazement. Remember that this audience is filled with true Photoshop Geeks. I would imagine it would take something pretty impressive to cause the reaction this effect got.

Wow. I’m really regretting all those blurred photos that I’ve deleted!
This is why I pay the big bucks for Photoshop. It truly is an amazing tool. WOW!
I still have yet to learn about all the things CS5 can do. I need to look up that extraction thing the mentioned… 0:)
I want it and I want it NOW!!!!. Definitely be buying that upgrade.
Wow…… I knew I was saving all those so so shots for a reason. That was….really incredible. I loved hearing there amazement too!
I will start saving my pennies now…I’ll make the jump to full Photoshop the day this becomes available
Wow….
Wow! I was just complaining about out of focus shots because my arms get tired at times from my nerve problem, going to have to move to Photoshop from PSE when this gets into the product!
i dont throw out much either and was always wondering if i am saving photos and using up too much space so you made me feel justified..LOl..thanks for another great posting
Oh! My! Goodness!!!
I too hate to delete photos. And this would definitely make me upgrade!
That’s amazing! I’d consider upgrading for that!!
Now THIS might get me to make the leap to full photoshop!! Awesome!
this is a amazing. I’m sure it would take years to show up in Elements but just the thought make my delete key obsolete!
That is absolutely awesome!! As I snapped hundreds of photos today of my 3 boys at various fall festivals, etc. I did think to myself “why do I keep all of the bad shots that end up in my batch?”… Thanks for answering that question for me! Some of my best composed shots end up blurred because a boy was tired of sitting by then
This is the second place I saw this video this morning…. Super impressive stuff.
Wow. The possibilities are so exciting for the future of photo processing. Plus, I’m a photo packrat. It physically hurts me some to delete a photo. Now I have some justificaiton. Thanks, Steph!
Wont this be wonderful, the number of photos I could use this on!
That is soooo amazing! I’m upgrading to pse10 today via costco, but this is showing me a more serious upgrade in my future!!! Thanx for sharing!
Seriously? That will be awesome. Thanks for sharing Steph.
