Story of Everyday Life Collab and a Tour

If you have visited our actual site here in the last 24-hours, you probably noticed that we have a new header.  Changes are always hard, so I thought I would give you a quick little tour of where everything goes.

In case you are reading through a reader, here is a look at our new banner:

Wow! The collab is fantastic. I wanted it when you were giving it away and I did not win. Thank you so much for bringing it back. What a deal with the digi files and the collab. You have a new customer. The team is doing a wonderful job.
    Thank you

So I think the Digi Game is a wonderful idea. Though you will not see me subscribing. I have been digi scrapping for a few years now, have more product than I could ever use (sigh) and look to TDD more for inspiration and motivation. I do think supporting this wonderful blog is important so I have bought and will continue to buy Digi Files here and there. My rule of thumb is there has to be at least a few items that feel fresh and new and I can really see myself using. That said I will say I would have been so jazzed to have found TDD as a newbie and really encourage anyone just starting out to jump on the Digi Game..Lots of wonderful, useful and helpful information in the playbooks and the Digi Files contain top notch product. An absolutely terrific place to start and grow. Keep up the great work TDD.. Oh and contributing designers, can’t tell you how many new little bits and pieces I have added to my over flowing stash due to your posting here at TDD.. Dynamite place to show off your style.. Happy scrapping all

Could you explain a little about the svg files.(everyday life 6 svg files) How you get them and how you use them.

    Loving the new stuff.

Found them! I checked the members site again and lo and behold they were there this time.

Well I did sign up for the monthly plan and after paying through Paypal I was directed back to this site where I could download this month’s Digi Files. I could not find where I can download the Playbook nor the Collab Kit.

I hope someone can help me.

Beautiful collab! I am also a bit disappointed there’s not a purchase item; there’s no way that subscription will be worth it for me — it’s not about the quality of the designs, but whether or not it fits my taste or scrapping style.

Playbooks are nice, but I wouldn’t pay for them unless there was a kit or tutorial I knew in advance would be worth it.

Lovely for those it works for, though. ;)

today is my birthday…and man did i get an awesome present for only $7.50!
i love being able to download the playbook pdf’s into my ipad and follow all the tutorials instead of opening and closing windows:) the digifiles are the best value anywhere:)

I don’t want to be negative because I’m sure you’ve put a lot of effort into this subscription model, but I wanted to add my voice to those who are disappointed by it. I love this site – I read it daily, and I love the Digi Files – I have been getting them for a year now, since I first started digiscrapping (only missed one month). I’ve discovered loads of designers through the files that I wouldn’t have otherwise.
But I don’t like that the only way to get the exclusive kits is to subscribe to the Playbook option – I downloaded the free ones over the summer and I’m just not interested in them, and that option is an extra $22.50 over a year instead of paying only for digi files. That makes the free bonus kits, not so free anymore.
As I said, I love your site but am disappointed with the new change.

I agree, this collab is terrific. The sample layouts are just stunning!
If anyone can recommend a tutorial on how to make those pages with the picture faded as the background, I would be forever grateful!

    Thanks Daily Digi! you rock!!

      Jan says:

Place whichever background picture you want to use above your background paper layer, and then just simply adjust the opacity of your photo until the paper underneath shows through.
And until you like it! :)

      Hope that made sense :)

Hey Kris, there are also some tutorials in the Playbooks we gave away this summer as well as a couple tutorials in October’s Playbook. There are several different ways to go about it (like all things digital) ;)

I have to admit…at first I was feeling a little “meh” about the whole Digi Game idea. But after this blog post…Wow…what an awesome collection of talent…and some great stuff. I’m going to subscribe right now!
