Last year I made a big family album and gave one book to each of my 6 siblings, my parents, grandparents and aunt and uncle. Everyone in the families participated, including the kids. I asked each person to fill in the blank "happiness is ____" and to provide a photo. I had the books printed from My Pic Tales as 8x8 softcover books and they ended up being around $10 each. I print each page as a regular photo and slide them into the little dollar brag books (preferably the ones where I can slide in a cover too). I keep each page simple, sometimes use 4x6 templates, and keep most of the pages the same for everyone with just a couple that are customized for the recipient. Since we have 4 sets of grandparents, the 4x6 size keeps the cost manageable, and the small size lets me get a little fun scrapping in while not letting me get too carried away and not finish in time. I give these to my family (sisters, DIL, Mom, nieces & nephews) I make a layout for the front and back side, then use Modge Podge to affix it and seal it to the ornament. I use paint or ink to color the sides of the paper mache. I usually add a little something to make the ornament dimensional (like glitter or embellishments). Each ornament is different, and has the recipient's name and the year on them. I've also done something similar using microscope slides too. Thanks for the great ideas!
