I have been super excited to do this spotlight! Gina Miller is one of the people I have known since the very beginning of my scrapping experience. I remember her as scraphappyME on the 2Peas boards, remember being amazed that anyone could scrap as much as she did, and was always impressed that as a designer, she didn’t limit herself to her own products. Gina is about as well rounded as they come and her variety of styles in both designing and scrapping are truly inspirational. She is a pillar in the digi scrapping community and we are thrilled that is a part of THE DAILY DIGI this month! Before we get to know her a little better, let’s see what she created for THE DIGI FILES 6.
I just love all the soft and suble colors! it just screams heritage or sweet new baby to me! You can grab it HERE in THE DIGI FILES 6. Here are a few layouts by THE DAILY DIGI team

I started designing just because it seemed like a natural progression with my scrapping: stumble upon digital, learn PhotoShop, design my own elements for fun and then realizing, “Hey, selling my own kits seems like a really neat idea!” I was on the Digi Chick’s CT way back when – in Summer 2005. Holly McCaig, the original owner, was opening up her shop to a handful of designers and I was lucky enough to be offered a spot there. I remember the day she e-mailed me to say I was accepted: my Uncle had passed away very suddenly and it was a horrible week. Getting her e-mail and having this new door open for me was very comforting and exciting!

4 years – wow! I didn’t realize just how fast time flew until I typed that!

BOTH!!!! Even thought I love designing and plan on doing so for the foreseeable future, I have always said I consider myself a scrapper first and foremost!
Note from Janet: Gina is a totally fabulous scrapper. Her style has changed and evolved over the years but it is always crisp, clean, and totally great. You should check out her gallery to see more beauties like this one:

Since having my 3rd baby, my scrap/design time has definitely been slashed by a good amount. These days, I spend maybe 15-20 hours a week scrapping, designing and doing customer service “stuff” behind the scenes.

It’s always my newest thing – what can I say? I get bored easily & like fresh, new stuff!! I really loved one of my last kits that I released titled “Sandy Toes“

Thank you so much!!
I love Gina! She truly is the sweetest person when talking with her in the forums or via email! I don’t know how she does it all! And I love how she really is a scrapper like the rest of us (and wants new stuff to buy and use from other designers)!!!
The soft colors and feel of this kit are to die for- loved it! Here’s a LO I made with it:
