Oh, boy! That’s a lot of info for this Auto girl! My photographer/mom idol mentioned on her blog recently that she uses “back button focus,” and I had no idea what that was. I’m ready to dig out my owner’s manual now, though, and see what it’s all about! Thanks!!

Great post! HAd to look up the focus lock on my Sony a700! BTW – you lock focus by pressing the multi-selector (little joystick) on the back of the camera.
