I very quickly fell in love with Mye’s designs when I first discovered them! I love her shabby papers with such great pattern combinations! The combinations of unique elements, realistic tid-bits that you don’t see anywhere else, and her super fun colors create kits that make me want to scrap!!

My full name is Myrlyn De Leon and I am using my nick name, Mye De Leon as my designer name. I am from Manila, Philippines. I am a mother of twin girls and married to Kris for more than 6 years. I spend most of my time on the PC when the girls are in school. When I am not designing, I am just in the kitchen or doing my daily cleaning routine. And when the girls need a playmate, I become one too.

I discovered digital scrapbooking before paper scrapping. But then, I fell in love with digital scrapbooking because I can do an album without the clutter. I CT’d for 3 designers before I eventually dabbled in designing and got bitten by the bug. I discovered that I have a passion in designing digital kits so I explored my program, read tutorials, tried and tried and was given a break in a store in 2009. I learned fast but I never stop learning. I still am exploring my program up to now and continuously learning my craft. For me, designing is a never ending process of improvement.
Everything around me really. The chirping birds outside, fabrics, songs and even ideas coming from my husband. When I have something in mind, I look around for colors and create my palette. And with those colors, I start turning those ideas into kits.
Computer: I am on a PC – running on QuadCore, 4Gb RAM, with multiple HDD. My husband and I stocks a lot of files in our PC that we need to have our own internal drives. However, I still plan on buying my own PC or laptop soon.
Program: I am using Photoshop CS5 and lots of PS Actions. The transition from CS3 was never easy but it was well worth it. I love CS5!
Camera: I still use our old Canon 1000D. DH bought it 2years ago when he started photography as a hobby. Now, he’s wanting an even better unit and new lens.
Anything Else: I have a Wacom Pen and Touch – a gift from my blogger friends on my birthday last year. Am still learning how to use it because right now, I just can’t get rid of my mouse yet. But I am hoping someday, I’ll be as addicted as others in using a tablet.
Beautiful scrapbook pages become even more beautiful with the perfect shadows. Think as if you are arranging the papers and elements in real life – think about where you would like to put your light source so you’ll know where the shadows will bring you. I used to do 120 degrees shadows in my pages but then 45 degrees works better for me now, it brings a more real and natural look on my pages. If you want to have shadowing easy, I have a shadow style set called Me and Mye shadow styles available in store for you.
I have 2 favorite kits, Splendor and Love Bug. Splendor is a more elegant kit while Love Bug is more playful yet classy.
