I have loved taking photos since I was a child, something that my Father passed on to me, so even before I discovered "scrapbooking" I have always photographed the big and small events in our life. But my true inspiration to really improve my skills as a photographer is my beautiful 3 year-old son. Capturing wonderful shots of him makes my heart sing!!

This interview was so inspiring! What strength she has after what she's been through!

When I take pictures, I want to capture moments that I know I will never get back. It could be my 3 year old with his chubby little hands covered in dirt, or my 18 month old looking down and exposing his impossibly long eyelashes. I want to capture these things so that I can look back on them when the boys are grown and doing things that may not be so cute. :)

Next week (when you announce the winners), I'll be in South America, creating and capturing memories of my grandparents' farm. So good luck to everyone!

The joy others feel when they see that perfect shot is what inspires me. I want to bring that joy to others. I want everyone to have their memories captured so that little moment in time is never forgotten.

I am inspired by Project 365. I started last July and completed a full 6 months. This year I am hoping to learn more about photography and how to really capture those little moments. I love joining groups in Flickr and getting feedback on photos I have taken. I learn alot from just looking at photos in Explore. Digital Scrapbooking is also another source of inspiration for me. I love reliving moments when I create pages that can be displayed on my walls and in coffee table albums. All the digi galleries are very inspirational. Thank you for this post, I loved learning about the journey of a Mom with a Camera to Pro.

Life inspires me! I want to improve my photography to "freeze frame" all the little moments we get to experience each day - especially with my two beatiful little girls. To capture a picture that makes someone smile or laugh or glimpse a part of someone's inner sole - those are moments to savor. I am in awe of the many women who post their pictures on blogs (like Karen Russell) and inspire people like me that photos need just as much heart as they do technique. Love your site! Great interview!

My kids are always my inspiration in photography. They are the reason I got into it in the first place! This post was very helpful as I'm trying to take the leap into photography on a more professional level. THANKS Kellie and Janet and everyone involved! :)

Also, what is the name of the font you used in the very first photo of the post--the one that was used for "Kellie Penn" in the red color? I LOVE IT and recognize it but don't remember from where. I want it!! :) :) :)

My inspiration is my children, capturing the light and joy in their lives and what they bring to those around them, as well as helping to see the world again thru a child's eyes of brand new discoveries thru my camera lens.
