{Inspired}

untitled-1

Sometimes, I get in no-scrapping ruts.  It’s not that I don’t want to scrap…I just lack motivation and inspiration.  I want to scrap and yet I just sit there, staring at my computer, with nothing coming to me.  And that is when I know I need some inspiration.  I find inspiration in all sorts of places — magazines, new kits, stories that are bursting to be told, and by looking at other people’s art. I spent some time in the galleries a few days ago and as always, it filled me with new ideas and fresh inspiration.  Here are some of the things I saw…

Kayleigh’s work never ceases to inspire me.  I don’t go looking for her layout, they just always jump out at me.  I just love the various size photos in this layout and all the little details that make me want to just keep staring.

This fun fall layout is just perfect!  I love the way she weighted her layout by having all the photos and elements at the bottom — it reinforces the idea of fallen leaves on the ground.

The simplicity if this layout just makes it extraordinary!  I love the repeated photo and the light blue paper…the whole page just seems soft, sweet, and totally content.

This is a PERFECT no photo layout!  I just love it.  The bright colored papers, the scallops, the title work…all totally amazing!

I love how this layout’s design totally reinforces the story of the page….by having a full and somewhat “messy” layout, the point of the story is made even more clear.  It is a perfect example of how the design of a page can make you just feel the story!

Colorful, fun, and superbly designed!  This page, while containing lots of elements, is still laid out in a way that lets the viewer really rest and soak it all in.  The little details are perfect!

Isn’t this page totally gorgeous??  I just adore the enlarged photo — such a great way to show off a truly amazing photo!

Bright, bold, and totally cool!  I love the paper blocks and the fun doodled border!  Perfect!

    The daily digi of course!! lol Sometimes I just need to take a break from the computer, and do like you said, but I save inspirational layouts when i see them, and go browse through my Inspiration folder when I’m dead for ideas. Or I go to a template, so I don’t have to think about the layout.
