I have really enjoyed getting to know Liz over the past few months and she is just as sweet as she is talented!
Here’s a closer look at Liz’s contribution to TDF11:

I currently reside in Los Angeles with my husband Eric and daughters, Audrey and Madeline. When I’m not designing, I usually like to keep busy by daydreaming about our next vacation to Hawaii, listening to Jack Johnson songs, drinking coffee and browsing Anthropologie catalogs.

Scrapbooking…
Start with a photo and a white background and build your layout from there. Treat your text/journaling as a design element. Have fun with your type but try not to go overboard with too many different fonts (keep it to no more than 3 different fonts). When you’re in a rut, toss all of your design rules out the window, deconstruct, play and have fun!
Photoshop…
When I’m dragging an element or paper onto my layout, I always hold own the shift button because it automatically “centers” it to the layout.

I am most definitely a scrapbooker first. I made my first scrapbook album in high school using one of those non-archival magnetic photo albums. I didn’t pick up scrapbooking again until 2004. At the time I wanted to put together an album of a recent hawaii trip so I bought a 12×12 post bound album, stumbled upon an online scrapbooking community while I was browsing for inspiration, and from the moment I posted my first layout online, this hobby immediately took on a life of its own. I’ve always loved crafty things. But it was the social aspect of scrapbooking – being able to connect with others that shared my passion for creating, being able to instantly share a project and get feedback on it – that motivated me to create on a daily basis. I wouldn’t be where I am now without the support and encouragement I’ve gotten over the years from my online crafting buddies, many of whom I’ve grown very close to and are now a very integral part of my life.
I started digital scrapbooking in 2006. I was traveling a lot that year and scrapbooking digitally allowed me to make layouts while I was on the go and didn’t have access to my paper supplies. I never thought that I would end up going 100% digital, but here I am now!

Virtually everything around me. My daughters, the color of a new cardigan, the texture of the wood fencing in our backyard, a funny conversation, a poignant moment, even the smell of coffee.

A macbook pro 15″, 2.93 GHz, 4 GB; photoshop CS3 + illustrator CS3 + lightroom 2; Nikon D300; wacom tablet.

This is a tough one! One of my faves is still the defined album

Love Paislee Press! Everything she makes is awesome!
so many awesome kits – I think my favourite is Adorned – simple and beautiful
It’s so hard to choose my favorite… I really love Liz’s designs. If I had to pick one, I would go for the Embrace kit.
I love the colors in Chasing the sun, but my favourite at the moment is Adorned. Such a gorguous kit !
This is so fortuitous because I was looking at and downloading all of her freebies yesterday! I just love her pressplate no 27 freebie template. It’s so handy and clean. I am totally in love with her work! So excited that she’s in the digi files this month!
OHhhh…I am in love with the Adorned kit
Okay, really I love it all, but I love the patterns in Adorned the best at the moment!
All Liz’ products are wonderful.
The perfect one for me is “Embrace” done with Shaui.
Thank you!
I love your work Liz! so cool!
one of my all time favorites!! I absolutely love her photogenic kit! It is one of my “go to” kits
Wow, I had a really hard time narrowing it down to just one item. And even now I still want to list more than one!! But if I have to choose, I guess I really really like the Adorned kit.
Such beautiful designs. I love those viewfinder frames!
I have so many favorites, it is really hard to narrow it down to one item, but right now it’s the DIY 2010 Calendar + Month Stamps that I can’t seem to get out of my head. I think I really, really need to make the project Liz has posted on her blog using this calendar (as soon as I find the perfect frame).
BTW – thanks again for the GC! I’ve had great fun shopping this morning!
I especially love her Viewfinder frames!
What don’t I like or already own from Liz of Paislee Press? Ummm, I think I already own her store. I am missing the snapshots2 set, so that will be my next purchase.
I really like the Defined Baby Layered Template Album. With a new one on the way, this looks like it would work perfect for a first year album!
I really like the quick page albums – I was looking at the snapshots 2 album and it looks so very versatile.
Liz’s kits are awesome, and her blog is always full of helpful information. I have a lot of her kits, but haven’t purchased the Adorned set yet. Thanks for the set in this month’s Digi Files!
Defined Baby Layered Template Album has been on my wishlist for months!! You would make my year and I could finally get my baby albums done!!
I could buy EVERYTHING in Liz’s shop. I really liked the Christmas release dove card template set 2. But seriously, it’s all great.
There’s no way I could pick just one thing…it’s all so gorgeous! a midwinter’s flight, in good company, and I adore the Everyday Moments album.
I love the Adorned Kit and her viewfinder frames. (Plus sooooo much more!!)
I love all the Viewfinder frames
