Hi, I’m Christine, but online I usually go by CheekyMonkey. I reside in the suburbs of Chicago, IL with my husband, Mike, two year old daughter, Alex, and a baby boy due at the end of this month. We also have a golden retriever named Merlin, who makes his way into many of the family photos and scrapbook pages.

Keep a journal or small daily notebook to write down ideas for scrapbook pages, or record that funny thing your toddler/teenager just said to you. Even if you aren’t a big journaling person (and we all know if we are or aren’t “journalers”), it makes going back to create a layout so much easier when you can remember dates and small details you might otherwise have forgotten.

Even though I’m a pretty creative person, glue and scissors are not my friends, and I am OK with that. I tried out paper scrapbooking a couple of times in high school and beyond, but never really got into it. A few years ago I discovered digi, but it was the amazing communities at a handful of sites that had me instantly hooked. As a new mom, I really enjoyed connecting with other moms in the forums and learning as much as I could through tutorials and posting questions. I began dabbling in design about a year ago, because I was curious what it would be like to make my own papers and elements. Again, I was instantly hooked!

My daughter, and her adorable and ever-changing wardrobe! Also, I am a magazine and catalog addict, and find much of my inspiration there.

Computer: iMac w/2GB RAM
What program/s are you using? PSCS4, Shoebox (for organization), Lightroom 2
What kind of camera? Nikon D90 w/50mm 1.4 lens, kit lenses, and a speed-light that was a Christmas gift and I still need to take out of the box.
Anything else: I could not design a single item or page without my Wacom Intous tablet –I don’t even use a mouse to surf the web!

It’s usually the last thing I’ve created, but lately I find myself using my Lightly Krafted and Lightly Textured Paper Packs over and over again.

Love her store! The Bit and Brads, Hello Houndstooth and Hoot are my favorites. Sure wish I still had a little baby boy around the house, or I would definitely buy the Sweet Baby Boy kit!!
Fun stuff!

I quite like the owls in HOOT. Great kits!
I love Oh My Stars! I also love all the tiny tags! Thank you sooo much for a chance to win!
Pick me!! Pick me!! I LOVE THIS STUFF!! On my list are Tiny Tags 1 & 2, Oh My Stars, Always, and Vintage Garden 2.
Well, I was going to say that my favorite is the Happy Heart kit (so I guess I need to snag the Digi Files this month!). In her store, my favorite is Always.
The thing I love the most about the Daily Digi is finding new designers! I hadn’t heard of Cheekymonkey before. What nice clean designs! I think my favorite is the Vintage Garden #1… but the Word Cuts are kewl as are the tiny tags.
I like the Sweet Baby Boy kit ( as I have a sweet baby boy!), and the Tiny Tags are really sweet.
Love your kit this month! I’m a Vintage Garden #1 fan!
I like the Always kit- I have three weddings (in three months!) this year, so this would be well used! Thanks for spotlighting her!
I love the alphabet photo masks and the Oh My Stars kit – would be perfect for my little guy! Thanks!
Tiny Tags 1 and Vintage Garden 2 are my favorites. I love the colors in the Vintage Garden 2 kit.
Christine’s the best! I love her new “A Happy Heart” kit!
I love the sweet girl and boy kits, but would choose the vintage garden kits, and than from those no.2 is my favorite. Beautiful!
Sweet Baby Boy is my favorite. Thanks for the chance to win!
The Alphabet photo masks!
I L-O-V-E the Tiny Tags No. 2. Love the prints – such cute accents to a page.
I am SO HAPPY to be introduced to this designer. What talent!!
I literally loved everything in Cheekymonkey’s shoppe but one of my very favorites is: Word Cuts No.4 -Solid Love.
Also, I love the way that Zig Zag Scrap has the preview enlarge by hovering over it. It is nice not to have to click on everything to see it larger.
So much neat stuff, but I was really taken with Word Cuts #4-Solid Love, they would be so useful!
I have to say Cheeky Monkey pushed me over the edge this month…I try not to buy everything I love so I was on the fence about purchasing Digi Files this month but Cheeky pushed me over. Love Vintage Garden No. 2 but everything is soooo yummy!
This Sweet baby boy kit is probably tops of little boy kits out there… and that’s my pick!!
The Always Kit and the Full Metal Brackets…
I like the Always kit and also the Number Photo masks. Thanks for the chance to win!
WHat’s great is that I love A Happy Heart the best of CMC’s work and now I own it!! Yay! I just HAVE to do something with that gorgeous pink damask! THank you so much for all you do!
I love Vintage Garden 1 and 2, with #2 my favorite because I seemed to scrap in blue a lot.
My favorite (and this was a tough decision) is Vintage Garden No. . I’m really attracted to the color red these days and it has such a strong and beautiful presence in this kit. I like how bold the kit is.
The Sweet Baby Boy kit is delish!!
baby girl kit…though baby boy is a close second AND THE KIT IN TDD Rocks!!!
Oh, I LOVE this designer! Simplicity in style, not overdone…. lovely. Especially like the “Oh, my Stars” and the number and letter photo masks.
Christine is a totally new designer for me – but what fun colors she uses. I love the colors in the Always kit.
am loving the sweet baby boy kit (:
I love the alphabet photo masks too, very effective.
Great choices, my faves would have to be Hoot and What Lives Within, and I love the Tiny Tags.
I love all of them! My favorite would have to be What Lives Within! I also would have to get the Tiny Tags 2! Those are so awesome!
Like the acrylic frames and brad bits but probably Vintage Garden hits a chord this time of year. I have the need to turn soil and this kit and last year’s garden pics could enable a gardener in February!
I love her style. I think Vintage Garden 2 would have to be my favorite.
I love the sweet baby boy kit!!!
I love the colors in that Vintage Garden #2!
Ohh… I love Hoot!! Thanks for the chance to win and for introducing me to Christine, this is a new designer to me.
I’m loving the Halloween kit. So awesome!
The Always kit looks terrific.
I love the number photo masks and alphabet photo masks! I think that these would be awesome to make a number and letter book for my 2 yr old with photos of his things!
