Thanks so much for this post!! I have never used templates for digi-scrapping for the exact reasons you list above. I never felt that it would be “mine” if I used a template. Seeing as I am actually years behind on scrapbooking, I may need to suck it up and give it a try!

That’s so true!! The memories are all that matters! We love some of my earliest layouts (sans papers and elements) too!

Thanks so much for this post! I find myself thinking I’m cheating a lot when I use templates, and I have to remember it doesn’t matter how I record the memories – as long as I do it!

I agree. Templates are my friend. I rarely (cough) design my own page. I usually use template or I’m scraplifting. I’d rather focus on the story than the design.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE templates. I have been digi-scrapping for about a year and the process is still very slow for me, but templates really do speed things up for me.

Love this post. When I first started I never wanted to use templates either but I am so glad I finally got over it. It’s about all I use any more and it feels so wonderful not sitting at my computer starring blankly at it wondering where I am going to put the pictures. I can finally fully concentrate on preserving my memories.
