I posted yesterday already but wanted to come back and say I spent quite a bit of time last night cleaning up my desktop by removing lots of shortcuts, etc & adding a few folders I will use daily. One of which is the "ready to scrap" folder. I have a few thumbnails already placed inside. I know I will use this for a long time to come. I also started a folder for "things to read/follow up on". As I read thru posts, blogs, various sites I will come across great ideas but I can never remember WHERE I read it. I have started saving chunks of text & links, screen prints etc into this new folder and I no longer have to worry about where I read something I want to follow up on!

Love these tips....but my fave is #4....this is so simple yet can save so much time, thank you!

I know not everyone is on a creative team(s) and I wasn't until about 4 months ago. I currently serve on 1 store & 2 personal designer creative teams. Part of my responsibility (but a fun one) as a CT member is participating in challenges and getting LO's done with certain kits. A trick I am trying to learn is the "killing 2 birds with 1 stone" technique. If I have a specific challenge I will try to use one of my CT kits in that challenge. Thus, I have taken care of 2 things at once.

I love these tips, I am really bad for checking my email, which often turns into browsing sites for more digi supplies, and then checking my blog etc, and then 4 hours is gone, I have new scrapping supplies and no layouts done! I also save monday nights for scrapping at my sisters house, as this is guaranteed "kid-free" time for me to focus on doing layouts. One other thing that has helped me lots has been participating in blog challenges to win gift certificates, I get a layout done as well as an entry in the challenge.
