Before we get started on on today’s post, I just wanted to say THANK YOU to everyone who commented and emailed about my December Daily album. Ali was truly my inspiration for it, and I am honored that she would feature it on her blog. If you are stopping by THE DAILY DIGI for the first time, WELCOME! We are glad you are here. In short, we are a blog/site dedicated to bringing you great information and inspiration on digital scrapbooking each and every day. We are also home THE DIGI FILES – a “grab bag” of digital scrapbooking products from a variety of high quality designers. Each month, for just $5.00, you get a TON of great digi products. This allows you to try a bunch of designers for very little money. They contents are a secret but we slowly reveal them throughout the month. You can get a look at the whole DIGI FILES 6 if you look HERE.
A bunch of you asked questions about my album:
1. What kind of paper did you print on? I was going to use matte photo paper but I couldn’t find any (I’m an American gal living in SouthEast Asia). Instead, I printed on white cardstock.
2. What kind of printer do you use? Although I would love to own a nice wide-format printer at some point , currently I just have a cheap HP all-in-one. Works great, though!
3. How did you do the bracket shape? Would you be willing to share it? I made the bracket shape myself and I am happy to share it. You can download it HERE (with both an 8.5 x 11 size and and A4 size).
Okay…now back to the regular scheduled program

I think December is one of my favorite times of the year simply for the fact that I can surround myself with all sorts of craft projects and not feel guilty about it. The house needs decorating and people need gifts, right? I feel like I can justify every moment of crafty goodness with a, “It’s for the kids’ teachers” or “it will look just perfect on the mantel.“ Sly, I know. Over the past few years I have done some fun projects including:
A tissue paper/Styrofoam Christmas Tree
Button Ornaments (for the kids teachers

And Advent Boxes inspired by Ali Edwards
Since all this Christmas talk has me itching to start thinking about gifts and crafts for this year, I have started a folder on my computer with all the fun ideas I find on the web. When the time comes, I will have oodles of ideas and plans. Here is a just a small sampling of some of the ideas I am storing up.
Paper evergreens by Martha Stewart
These simple and oh-so-pretty paper ornaments
And I LOVE the advent boxes/countdown calendars by our own Steph and reader Alisha
More images and directions to Steph’s can be found HERE
Here is what Alisha had to say about her super cool project: “I really wanted to focus on traditions and fitting all those fun things in the holidays. So each day has an activity, act of service or just something fun for the holidays! Then we turned the drawer around to reveal part of a puzzle on the backs. Would be done with any picture or message
“

Thanks so much for all of the inspiration!!! We just had our Christmas in July yesterday and it was so much fun!! I posted some pics on my blog (not anywhere NEAR as good as yours, but that’s ok!)
[...] Funky Essential Blacks Jolly December End of [...]
For some reason the downloads are not working for me. I’m new to this site so I’m not sure if there is something I need to be doing?
I love all your wordarts, Stephanie!! TFS!
Thank you

Wow! Lots of great inspiration! I will have fun looking up these projects. Thanks for the great word art too!
These are wonderful, thank you!
Thank you!!!
Thanks ! I’m smelling snow and hearing carollers !! xx
Hey, I was also curious, how do you get your downloads to start instantly like this? I have signed up for Scribd, so people are taken to another site to download my document, when what I really want them to do is click on the picture or word and have it start like the freebies you have posted today. Any tips? Do you pay for your hosting site? Thanks
Thanks for the freebies! I am totally guilty of deciding to make Christmas gifts, and then two months before Christmas I buy all the materials needed, end up running out of time and THEN buying gifts anyways. You’ve got me thinking ahead! Second of all, I love the advent calendar with the picture on the back, and I would love to use that to help my son learn more about giving at Christmas time, so thanks for the inspiration!!
LOVEd the christmas album too, I am thinling of making one similiar to the one I made last year, hybrid, and this was the perfect push….:) thanks for the generous word art, it may make it to this year’s version!
Thank you so much for the great ideas!! There were some I hadn’t ever seen before. Love the word art and thank you too for the template. The advent calendar that I made for my kids years and years ago has been a life saver getting the kids involved in Christmas and getting all the traditions done. Love the little boxes with the puzzle on the back.
Thanks for more great ideas and for the Jolly December word art. I found a great sale on the Karen Foster Countdown Calendar (that’s what was used as the base for Steph’s project). At most places on the web it was $19.99, but this store had it on sale for $11.99. Link: http://store.scrapbooking-warehouse.com/376405.html
Happy crafting, everyone!
Thanks so much for the additional December Daily info…. and especially for the bracket file! I was just going to work on that myself. You saved me lots of time, I’m sure (I’m pretty new to PSE).
