From The Files Challenge May 2010

Here are the supplies for this months “From The Files” challenge, we chose one item from each designer’s contributions. The rules are the same; use each of these products at least once and nothing else (except fonts). We will randomly draw a winner from the layouts linked up in the comments (post on your blog, in the flickr group, or in a gallery) before 10 p.m EST on the due date. The winner will receive a $10 in product from one of our sponsors and will be announced here on The Daily Digi blog. See details at the end of the post.

Here’s some inspiration from the team to get you started:

Layout by Karen. Fonts are Sketch Rockwell, Aurulent Sans and Steinem.

Karen filled some of the photo spaces with paper and used the frames as embellishments on the squares.

Layout by Jenn. Fonts: Eccentric, Printing Primer In-Between, and Dirt2 Stickler

Jenn flipped the template upside down and added a stacked photo look to a few of the pictures.

Melissa used the frame on all the photos to help them stand out a bit more.

Layout by Steph. Fonts are clementine and traveling typewriter

Steph recolored the beige paper, the yellow flower, the butterfly, and the arrows to lime to work with the colors in the photo better. She also recolored the beige paper to white to use as a matte behind the bottom photos.

I straightened the bottom left photo and added the frame. I’m also the only one who left the numbers on Liz’s template – they gave me a great framework to use for a list of 6 of my favorite things right now.
