Sometimes...when I am really organised, LOL, I will make a lot of my cards in advance and file them. I find when I need to do one in a hurry, I can "reuse" one I have already made (as long as I have saved the layered version)and change it around to personalise it. Cards in NZ are pretty expensive, so I love to do my own!

Birthday cards were my first digi projects - going all the way back to using Print Shop in the mid-1990's. I don't know if anyone else does this, but to save on printing costs, I will buy 50 pack bundles of white or multi color packs of cards & envelopes at Michaels, and then print out a design that can be cut out and put on the front of the card. (You can do the inside of the card the same way too.) You can fit a couple on an 8 1/2" x 11" sheet. This also can help solve those pesky lining up the front and backs during printing. Sometimes I print an additional copy of some of the elements on the card, cut them out and affix them on top of the same item on the front of the card with glue dots. (hope that explanation makes sense!) It is a quick way to add a little additional dimension to the card.
