Gratitude Journal {week 23}

On Sundays this year at The Daily Digi, we are going to be sharing a FREE weekly gratitude journal spread.

These pages are a place for you to record little memories you don’t want to forget, little reasons to be grateful. Each week their will be a gratefulness quote as well as a few photo spots.

You can use these FREE pages in a number of ways:

1) As digital scrapbooking templates. The download will always include .psd files for both 2-page 12×12 spreads as well as 2-page 8.5×11 spreads. You can add your own papers and elements and scrap ’till your heart’s content! (This is also a good option for those of you who get twitchy because I started the week with Friday. Since January 1 is a Friday, I like to start each week that way, but you may not! Feel free to adjust as needed!

2) As a digital journal. Keep the colors and text just as they are. Simply flatten the layers and add your notes of gratitude. Easy peasy!

3) As printed pages. Print out and write on them the good old-fashioned way. There is a .pdf file included for printing two letter-sized pages. Print your photos and attach!

If you have missed previous weeks, grab them HERE.

If you have used the templates or print-outs, we’d LOVE to see them! Share a link in the comments or EMAIL ME . We just might feature your page!

Be sure to be back next week for your next FREE journal template

It’s that time again…time to share some LAYOUTS WE LOVE! Our Flickr pool is always JAM-PACKED with amazing layouts by amazing artists. It is sooooo hard to choose which layouts to feature. They are all so incredible. However, here are 12 that especially caught my eye! And as always, the layouts are linked to their creator. Check them out!

In this layout, I love the circles on the background paper. I have never been very skilled at using bold background photos and I could take some lessons from this page!

The simplicity of this layout made it stand out right away! I love the journaling down the right side of the page and the close up photos on the left. Perfect!

The geometric quality to this page is astounding! I love the two background papers meeting in the middle, forming two large rectangles. Then there is a square photo and some really cool triangle cut outs. Love it!

Big photos have a BIG impact. This page is just perfect…nothing else is needed when a photo is this incredible!

I absolutely adore photos in a series. On this page, the slightly different photos have such a powerful impact on the story that would have been missing if only one of the photos as included. And how sweet is that little smile?

Ack…so, so beautiful. The photo is so incredible, showing once again that the angle of photos makes a huge difference. I love how she mimicked the colors of the paint with the colors of the journaling mats. Just stunning!

We all know I love pages with maps and more maps! On this layout, shapes once again take center stage. The background papers create triangles and a pentagon, the map and the arrow paper are circles, and the photo has frames added to it, creating thin vertical rectangles. So cool!

Oh my…our very own Melissa completely rocked this page (and when I chose it, I didn’t even know it was hers!) I love the photos with all the dates printed on them along with the little bits of journaling. Everyday life pages are my favorite!

Six awesome photos on one layout! I love the strong lines of the rectangles and the photos shot at all different angles and distances. It really makes you want to look at each one and see the details each of them offers!

Another incredible two page spread, featuring SEVENTEEN photos. Babies learning to eat have to be one of the cutest things and this layout expresses it perfectly. She could have just put the larger photo on the page and it would have been adorable, but adding all the others is so intriguing. Being able to look at each individual photo and face makes me feel as if I were there!

The understated simplicity of this page is what got my attention. It seems counter intuitive, but it really is true! The white space with the two identical-sized photos makes the eye zoom in to see what is going on. Amazing!

Keep posting your layouts in our Flickr pool. We love to see your work and we can’t wait to feature more scrappers!

Hi, I’m Isabelle (but everybody calls me Isa) well known as Bellisae Designs in digi-land. I work full time as a photographer in Guadeloupe (a French Carribean island) where I live with my 3 wonderful children and lovely hubby. I love swimming, reading, travelling and most of all spending time with my family and friends.

I’ve made this page using one of the free templates I have created for a challenge @PBP. I love using papers shapes and stripes to add relief and depth to my layouts and I think this one is a great example. I confess I love this photograph of my DD too!
If you like my page and want to play with this template, you can grab it for free
on my blog.

I began scrapbooking at the end of 2005 just after my daughter’s birth. I was looking for a homemade and creative way to customize her first year album.
I discovered digital scrapbooking at the end of 2007 and I immediately fell in love with this technique ! No more invading supplies on my desk only my computer and I !
I was not really interested in designing at first but many scrap friends asked me to participate in special freebie collaborations and I finally accepted their invit ! It was a great surprise for me to realize that I really loved designing ! Several months after this first experience, a famous French shop manager asked me to be a part of her designers team and so I accepted ! It was at the end of April 2009…. What a long time ago ! Can’t believe it !

I am totally unable to start a collection whithout a theme and a title ! My children’s personalities and moods are my first source of inspiration. But my photographer work is also inspiring as well as songs, simple little things of life and/or what happens all around the world…

Computer: I’m usually creating on a 27’’ Imac which runs with El Capitan 10.11.4.

Program: I’m essentially using PS CS5 and/or AI for designing and my Medium Intuos pro graphic tablette.

Camera: I’m using a DSLR camera: Canon EOS 5D MARK III

Anything Else: nothing else

sorry but none. It’s too difficult for me to explain a tip in English

Awwww it is so difficult for me to choose! I love all the products I have created! They all are my babies! But since I have to pick only one of them up right now, it probably will be my SPRING SHOWER collection because I love how versatile it is and also because the colors scheme, which was imposed for the Pickle Barrel Event, has been really challenging for me! I truly adore challenging myself just as exploring new styles and techniques and going outside of my comfort zone! It always makes my mojo sing!

It’s really difficult for me to know the reason why a collection is more popular than another… only my dear customers should give me the answer! I have created this WONDERFALL collection in memory of my childhood’s autumns; we don’t have autumn here in Guadeloupe, and I confess I’m a little bit nostalgic about this season and its sparkling colors, long walks in crunching leaves and golden afternoons… Perhaps many scrappers love autumn too!
