My name is Sherry Ferguson and I live in Texas with my husband and two daughters. I first discovered digital scrapbooking and designing in 2006 and I’ve been hooked on it ever since. I also enjoy baking and spend a lot of time watching my girls various dance performances.
When I bought my first digital camera many years ago, I was trying to figure out what I could do with my photos once they were on the computer which led me to discover digital scrapbooking. At the same time, I was also drawn to the idea of creating my own papers and elements and dove right into designing and scrapping at the same time.
My inspiration comes from many sources: photos, kids, clothing, craft stores, and of course Pinterest.
Computer: I have a 21 inch iMac running OS X El Capitan with 16 GB of memory.
Program: I use Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator CC and occasionally plug ins like Filter Forge.
Camera: I have a Canon Rebel SL1 but I use my iPhone 6 for taking a lot of snapshots as well.
Anything Else: I have a Wacom Bamboo Tablet.
Don’t be afraid to modify your Photoshop workspace for whatever project you’re working on. For the longest time, I felt like everything needed to stay in the same place. Now I drag my panels around a lot depending on what I’m doing. You can also save custom workspaces (window: workspace: new workspace) to make it easier when switching back and forth.
I like this kit because the colors are some of my favorites and it’s a reminder that life is constantly changing.
Peace on Earth was inspired by the many earthy Christmas decorations I saw this past year. Being from Texas, I wanted it to have that “country feel” but also be versatile enough for Christmas anywhere. With the overall theme being “earthy”, I felt the name kind of tied it all together since it is very peaceful in the country.
