I love shopping for cases to protect (and show off!) my technology. I’m a huge fan of the Speck brand phone cases because they have an extra little rubberized bumper feature to protect your phone if it drops. The above image is the exact case that I keep my iPhone 5 in. I love that it isn’t too slippery and it’s very thin and compact. I’ve dropped my phone a few times, and the case has really helped protect it!
My son carries his phone everywhere with him, but doesn’t want to carry a wallet. This Speck smartflex case was the perfect solution for him because now he can keep his ID card with him and not have to carry anything extra.
My daughter wanted a phone case with more storage and asked for this one for Christmas. It’s quite bulky (which would drive me crazy), but she loves it! Several of her friends have asked her where she got it because they want one too.
My husband likes a very minimal case that doesn’t add any bulk at all to his phone. His favorite case is the iFrogz Breeze.
I confess that I always browse through the phone cases when I see them in stores because I just think they are cool to look at. I wish I could buy more of them! Here are some that have caught my eye – some are only for iPhones, but several of them are available for other brands of smartphones as well so be sure to check the linked websites for more options.

If you need the toughest case around, you might like OtterBox armor series, which is waterproof and drop-proof.
And if you want to get really fancy, try making your own custom case.
You can use your own photos to make a custom case, or choose from branded logos.
If you’re the noncommittal type and like to change covers often, you can buy a clear case and change out photos and/or scrapbook paper (think digi!) as much as you like.
What’s your phone wearing? Do you love your case? Let us know if you have a great one that hasn’t been mentioned here.
