Crisdam Designs: Training Myself

I started purchasing Crisdam’s products a while ago and when I was tagging products in Lightroom, realized I had a lot of her stuff. I immediately fired off an email to invite her to contribute to The Digi Files. I LOVE her whimsical, fun, geometric style. I find her designs really easy and very enjoyable to scrap with!  Let’s take a closer look at “Easy Breezy” that is included in The Digi Files this month:

This is ONE of SEVEN collections you get when you become a member of The Digi Game this month. You also get an interactive Playbook (in PDF and iBooks formats) that has lots of ideas for using the supplies including techniques, tips, and tricks! All of that, including access to exclusive collaborations every four months you are a member, for only $7.50 total per month!

Hi, I’m Isabel of Crisdam Deisgns. I live in sunny Florida with my husband, my two kids (Daniel & Tommy), and my dog Muffin.

I love all things crafty, quilting, crochet, home decor, web browsing, spending time with my family, and much more. I have way to many hobbies, my latest one is exercising, especially running. I’m training myself to run a half marathon.

A few years ago, I believe it was mid 2006, I wanted to do Daniel’s first album. I bought lots of scrapbooking supplies, I tried to do a few pages, but wasn’t too happy about them. While searching in the net for some inspiration, I came across a few digital site. I instantly fell in love! I found lots of tutorial and in no time I was making my own elements.

I would say anything, but mostly colors. I enjoy looking at magazines, pictures, or browsing in the web…every day is something different.

Computer: Computer: I have a Dell Windows Vista
OS: 32Bit
RAM: 4GB Next month we are going to upgrade it.
Monitor: Right now I have a 19″ wide screen, but we are also upgrading this to a much bigger monitor.
Program: I work with Photoshop CS3
Camera: Nikkon D60
Cannon Cool Pix S3000
Anything Else: I have a Wacom Pen Tablet and 2 external hard drives(500GB and 1TB) for backup.
I also have a Toshiba laptop that I use for designing when I’m traveling.
Keyboard shortcuts makes my designing life much more easy. I don’t scrap very often, but when I do, I always star with the picture and work around it.

We all have those health stories we would love to remember, some of them cute episodes which we will remember when we look back into our pages with a smile in the future…Sick Day was inspired by my son, he was born with club foot and had his first surgery when he was 3 months old. I wanted a kit to capture those little moments.

Right now are the Project {Life} series. One of the most popular is The Story Begins. When I’m working on this kits I want the palette to be fresh and cheerful, adaptable to any theme and style.
