Accenting Journaling

I think there is journaling on 99% of the pages I make. It’s no surprise then that I’m always on the lookout for fun ways to accent the words on my page.

So how can we make journaling a design element and a cohesive part of the page?

Without a doubt, my favourite way to accent journaling is with editorial pen strokes and circles added to typed journaling:

Supplies: Life Is An Adventure by Jenn Barrette; Journal Bling Jenn Barrette; 3rd Annual NSD Grab Bag by Zinnias and Swallowtails

Supplies: You Give Me Butterflies by Lauren Grier and Shawna Clingerman; Journal Bling by Jenn Barrette; Simply Stamped Alpha by Zoe Pearn; Hodigity Podgity Mega Bundle by Amy Martin

Supplies: Review Your Notes by 2 a.m. Designs, Sol Papers by Studio 68, Sol Tidbits by Studio 68, Tape It! by Pink Reptile Designs, Border No Boundaries by Pink Reptile Designs, Ray of Sunshine by Pink Reptile Designs, Striped Alpha {yellow} by Pink Reptile Designs

Another great way to accent journaling is to replace key words with word snips or word labels:

You can also use lines to make the journaling visually stronger:

I also love the idea of adding doodle frames to paragraphs to make them stand out:

I did a little shopping and found these pretty journal accents:

snipettes: i'll love you forever

I hope you found a few ways to add some fun accents to your journaling!
