I never feel quite “tip” worthy as I feel like I mostly just blunder my way through everything. One thing however that has become very important to me is journaling. Not just journaling about what happened on someone’s birthday or on a holiday, but spending time telling your stories that are personal or what some might think of as mundane. Our everyday lives are who we are and are what our kids/families are going to remember more than anything and often these types of things go unsaid or unrecorded. Don’t ever worry that you are boring or don’t have anything to say. If it comes from inside of you then it matters and we will be grateful that we got these things out down the road.

Sometimes scrapping can be really therapeutic, but it is scary trying to put it all out there. If you aren’t comfortable letting everyone into your personal life then don’t feel like you have to share in the galleries. It is important to not hold things inside though and we can use our art of scrapping as a means of letting go and healing. I have decided that even though this is a hobby, it is something we can all use to grow as human beings.

I had a difficult pregnancy with Miss Stella. I just couldn’t get out that well and was so uncomfortable and miserable almost an entire 9 months. A friend of mine on my mommy board suggested I try scrapping. She talked me through my first pages and showed me where to get awesome freebies and I was instantly an addict! That was late Fall 2007. I had never ever paper scrapped as I really do not see myself as crafty at all. Once I realized what I could do on a computer I found the best creative outlet for myself!

One day last year (Fall 2009) I was just messing around and I decided I would see if I could make a template since I had never tried before. I went to a few pro’s for advice and then I posted the freebie on my blog and it went over pretty well! I got offered a store spot and a year later here I am! It’s been an exciting and fun journey, though tough at times, and I am so grateful to be able to be a part of other peoples scrapping and story telling.

For me, my templates are mostly inspired by own pages. I am a scrapper through and through and I will never ever give that up! So I guess I am inspired by the fabulous designers around the community that I am lucky enough to create for and who I like to shop from. I love a bit of white space, but not too simple!

I use an awesome HP desktop that has done me well so I love it! It has 6GB RAM and runs on Vista which I honestly don’t have any complaints with.

I scrap and create my templates in Photoshop Elements 5.0 and 7.0. It’s what I learned to scrap on and it’s what I know the best!

I have a Canon XS and although I am by no means a pro photog I dream of a camera upgrade quite often. But it’s a trusty little camera and perfect for me and my family!

I also have a Wacom Bamboo Craft along with the programs it came with but I do not use it often. If you see doodles on a template then those are made with this.

My Favorite Product is most definitely my {Grow With Love} sets with Sara Gleason. They are so very personal and it’s such an honor to be able to put them out there for others. The first set, The Marriage Edition, will always hold a special place in my heart.
