SPONSOR SPOTLIGHT — Scrapbook Graphics

Today’s SPONSOR SPOTLIGHT is near and dear to my heart.  Scrapbook Graphics was my digi home for almost two years.  After about six months at another store I was invited to join SBG and there found a wonderful home for my designs — and for me.  I LOVED every minute of working with Maya and Becky and always appreciated the way the store was run — both for customers and for designers.  The STUDIO CREW — the site CT — was also incredible!  They were always full of ideas, encouragement, and loyalty.  When I had my fourth baby, the Studio Crew showered me with gifts — far more than my own friends and families. Writing Maya to tell her I was leaving the site to start THE DAILY DIGI was one of the hardest emails I ever had to write.  Although always changing and growing, SBG will always be a part of me.

Okay…I could gush for a long time but I have SO MUCH to show you that I better get moving…starting with the SBG contribution to THE DIGI FILES 6 which are only available until the end of today!  So you better not miss out on your chance to grab this and MORE.

The Studio Girls’ Impressions of Travel Add-on coordinates with The Studio Girls’ Impressions of Travel July collab. Add-on was created by twelve of the Studio Girls and includes: 7 backgrounds, a 14-page brag book, 1 suitcase silhouette, 1 journaling stamp, 1 rain overlay, 1 cloud element, 1 folded paper piece, 1 frame, 1 paper strip, 1 word art frame cluster (in both shadowed and non-shadowed versions), 1 airplane charm on chain, 1 quick page, 1 embellished tag, 1 airplane overlay, 1 “you are here” arrow, and 1 piece of travel flair.

Here are some pages and projects from THE DAILY DIGI artist team:

Scrapbookgraphics was founded in 2003 by Canadian designer Janice Dye-Szucs (known in the digiscrap community as Maya) as her own personal store. In 2006, Maya decided to ask some very special designers to join her in expanding Scrapbookgraphics into one of the premiere digital scrapbooking sites on the internet.  With the technical assistance of her husband Mick Szucs this dream has become a reality. Though Studio Girls have come and gone over the years, Maya continues to find incredibly talented designers, many new to digital scrapbooking from careers in illustration, graphic design, fashion and traditional scrapping.  These artists relish bringing the digi community the fabulous designs they’ve come to expect from Scrapbookgraphics.  Currently hosting 28 designers from eight countries, Scrapbookgraphics is known for having an eclectic mix of digital scrap styles, from fantasy to vintage to traditional paper looks, there’s truly something for everyone at SBG!

The current Studio Girls include: Maya, Doris Castle, Jen Caputo, Berna Datema, ON Designs (the brother and sister pair, Oliver and Nicole), Baers Garten Designs (Iara Gomes-Baer), Lorie Davison, Wendyzine Scraps, Birgit Kerr, Studio Flergs (Megan Farrow), Studio Manu (Manuela Zimmerman), Natali Design (Vendula Sediva), Phuong Ton, mgl Scraps (Monica Guerra Leiria), Hillary Heidelberg, Ziska (Fraziska Altmann), Ellie Lash, Lotta Designs (Olga Karpowicz), Bluebell Designs (Sylwia Adamiec), sussieM Designs (Marzena Mazur), Tangie Baxter, Alana McCarthy, em-ka Designs (Malgorzata Kaszowska), Line Design (Line Aligand), Glam Fairy (Stephanie Trouvé), Miss Vivi (Emilie Vigié), Peta Boardman, and Studio Arisu (Alice Che). You can find out what the Studio Girls have been up to each week by subscribing to the Studio Skinny, SBG’s weekly newsletter showcasing new items and sales. You can also find the Skinny online HERE.

Many of the Studio Girls have their own newsletters and blogs, too.  You can find the current list of available newsletters and challenge blogs in the SBG forum.  A list of the designers’ personal blogs is available over at the site’s blog, Studio Matters. It’s totally worth signing up for all the Studio Girls newsletters…you’ll find the best savings and free goodies that way!

While the Studio Girls keep the store stocked with all sorts of luscious scrapping supplies, the Studio Crew, Scrapbookgraphics’ Creative Team, keeps the gallery, forum and blog hopping with challenges, slice-of-life essays (Raven’s Ramblings and Miss Behaving), tutorials, free stuff, and wonderful inspiration! This 27 member team currently brings you the following challenges: Frameworthy (artist inspiration), I Can Scraplift That Page of the Week (one lucky community member’s layout is selected for scraplifting), I Can Use That Font (font challenge), Photo Book Challenge, Studio Starts (SBG’s weekly prompt challenge that includes We Can Build It, Color It Combo, and List It challenges), the Desktop Challenge and the monthly RAK Challenge (photo swap). In addition to these challenges, Tangie Baxter hosts the Altered Artspiration challenge every Friday, and one Studio Girl is featured on the blog each Monday in what the Crew calls “Play Days.” Play Days are especially fun because you never know when there’s going to be a free gift, a discount code or a chance to win a prize!  Everyone that participates in the Studio Crew’s challenges is entered into a random drawing for a chance to win a copy of one of the Studio Girls’ monthly collab kits, a great incentive to play along!

Speaking of the monthly collabs… The Studio Girls’ “Impressions of…” series has become a much-anticipated and loved offering at Scrapbookgraphics.  Each month the Studio Girls bring you a themed sampler that is jam-packed with the best they have to offer.  It’s a great way to try out designers you may not have purchased from in the past, while enjoying your favorites’ contributions to the megakit.  The July collab, Impressions of Travel, was designed to help you scrap your summer vacations, and Scrapbookgraphics’ portion of The Digi Files for July includes a coordinating add-on to this collab.  Upcoming themes include Impressions of Change, Impressions of The Harvest and Impressions of Traditions.

One of the really fun things that Scrapbookgraphics has been doing the past year is hosting their Cover Girl Call.  Every quarter, layout artists are given an opportunity to win a spot on the front page of the store, as well as the chance to become a Studio Temp on the site CT for a month.  The winning artists also receive $25 for their PayPal accounts! This call also serves to help Studio Crew coordinator, Becky Troxel, find new team members.  So, don’t be bashful!  During the next call, make sure you send in your Scrapbookgraphics-only layouts to service@scrapbookgraphics.com.
